We Are Devo!!

Okay so I was watching the National Geographic documentary on Straightedge kids. and the early part (i posted on here the first part out of five) says how kids are drawn to straightedge as a way to rebel againts a culture that  "forces drugs and alcohol down their throat"  and find other straight edge kids to find support to fight temptation from the aforementioned culture.  Now I consider myself somewhat straightedge  but BULLSHIT! Most people dont think for themselves! Im surrounded by drinkers and alcoholics and im never tempted to drink. i dont have to fight temptation.  Or reach out to someone.  there are some people who do need to do that they are called recovering alcoholics!  but alot of these kids just want something so they can feel cooler/better than other people!  If i want weed I know where to get it.  If I want E I have some idea where to get it.  etc etc point is I'm surrounded by drugs (like everyone else is but some people are way too naive) and some of my friends do them but you know what?  I choose not too not because I want to join a group or rebel againts something but because I have a thinking mind and can make my own decisions based on what feels right to me.  What i dont get is why can't most people do that?  It's really easy to like what you like and do what you want to do not what people say what you should.  the other part of the documentary is the militants straightedge kids who jump drunk people and going all the way up to stabbing and killing a few people! Christ! Just because you are straightedge doesnt mean everyone has to be!  This "Movement" was started by a song by minor threat (which is the other video i posted) as a call to personal freedom.  so If I dont want to do anything.  ok.  If you want to do something fine.  do what you want. But we all know what drugs can do to you... or at least you should know the risks involved. 

P.S Some people go even further and say no premarital sex but really? how is that going to hurt you?  unless your a slut (both man slut and women) and stupid enough to not use protection and/or choose the wrong people.  

P.P.S Some go even further than that and say no meat and strickly vegan diet! Fuck that!   I will eat what I want!

it is so much better than high school. because you can have your headphones on and just be on you way to your class and be alone and at the same time not be and just think or not. your choice.  but a drawback is that there will always be know it all bastards who believe they are better than everyone else there.  this is a real problem with me at my school mostly because Its a COMMUNITY college! It doesnt take any effort to get accepted! so why do they think this way?  but the beauty of it all is that you can drown them all out with headphones.  For a person who loves to hear themselves talk the worst thing is when no one listens to them!  haha It's a great feeling :)  Since I dont drive I take the bus and headphones save me so many times.  with crazy bums always trying to talk to me I can just pretend I dont see them, christian ladies always trying to talk to me about god,  people i knew in high school who recognize me and I just pretend i didnt hear them or see them.  I know it's mean but wouldnt you? if someone you didnt like or was annoying tried to talk to you wouldnt you take the first oppurtunity to get out of it?

so yeah my first entry and i talk about headphones.... oh well damn writers block!
